Sam Harrison, twenty-two ways
Sam Harrison trained at Arts Educational and the Royal Academy of Music. He most recently wrote and received five-star reviews for his performance in Love Is Only Love at The Other Palace.
His theatre credits include Count Quintet in The Magician's Elephant (Royal Shakespeare Company), Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz (Leeds Playhouse), Bamatabois/Claquesous in Les Misérables (Sondheim Theatre), Poldavy in Eastward Ho! (Shakespeare's Globe), Boris in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (West Yorkshire Playhouse & UK Tour), Bungo Strathbungo in A Damsel in Distress (Chichester Festival), Bertie Wooster in By Jeeves (Trinity Theatre), Timothy in Salad Days (Riverside Studios), Bobby in Crazy For You (London Palladium), The Phantom of the Opera (UK Tour) and Avenue Q (Gielgud Theatre).
His film credits include Under the Jericho Sun (Braybrook Productions) and Foxtrot One One (MP Productions).
Jeeves Takes Charge began life in 1980 at the Lyric Hammersmith, adapted from P.G. Wodehouse by James Duke, his brother, original star, Edward Duke, and Hugh Wooldridge. It transferred to the Fortune Theatre under producers Barbara Dickson, Bernard Theobald, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh, won Duke the Olivier Award for Best Newcomer, and went on to play seasons across the US, Canada, South Africa, Australia and Taiwan. It was a big favourite with the Royal Household.
